Don’t you think it is more important that women take cooking classes in High School than English classes?

sandstorm222 asked:

My goodness…if you listen to a lot of girls today, they are so concerned about their grades, especially in English classes since they are required all 4 years of High School. Seriously though, when she gets married her husband isn’t going to care if she got a good grade reading “The Great Gatsby” or “Beowulf”. It isn’t going to matter worth squat!! However, if she takes some cooking classes and learns how to prepare delicious meals, well…that is something useful she can use for the rest of her life. A woman that cooks well can get a lot of personal satisfaction from having her family compliment her as well as her friends. Plus, when the grandkids come along you know they will appreciate wonderful homemade cookies. Am I right here?? I think I am.

Cooking classes will certainly be more useful for everybody to take instead of the “English” classes they force you to take. “English” classes just teach literature and literature is understanding written text how somebody else understands it.

You don’t have to capitalize “high school” since it’s not a proper noun, and your first sentence is a run-on.

Most certainly not..cooking and religion should be taught at home..one can see that as education becomes less challenging we get closer to being Neanderthals..look at our leaders who slid through college..
