Where are these kids learning how to swear?

Shocking_Wired asked:

Swearing doesnt bother me at all, i can swear my mouth of and usually do most of the time as i see it as an extension of the English language to be honest. ( I dont really like seeing kids under 14 swearing mind)

But what im seeing now days, especially on sites like youtube and other public social networking sites, Is kids that just think the art of insult is throwing every swear word they know into a bodged sentence.

Personally i dont find an insult insulting if it goes of like this -
“sucl your moms d*** and swallow some acid you f**ktard. you deserve to swim in a pile of s*** and drown in your dads *** you f**kerface. when you see yurself in the mirror, ur like, “OMG!!!!!!!! I **** MYSELF AND I SHOULD DIE!!!!!!!” - Youtube extract

I just wish i could take some time out and teach these geeky little rejects that the internet is not a place where they should go and use their anonymity to go vent your hormonal stress on strangers on YOUTUBE just because the girls at school dont pay them any attention.

And furthermore to learn how to construct an ACTUAL insult.

can i ask if anyone here would be offended by that sentence i posted where it addressed to them?

Don’t you think it is more important that women take cooking classes in High School than English classes?

sandstorm222 asked:

My goodness…if you listen to a lot of girls today, they are so concerned about their grades, especially in English classes since they are required all 4 years of High School. Seriously though, when she gets married her husband isn’t going to care if she got a good grade reading “The Great Gatsby” or “Beowulf”. It isn’t going to matter worth squat!! However, if she takes some cooking classes and learns how to prepare delicious meals, well…that is something useful she can use for the rest of her life. A woman that cooks well can get a lot of personal satisfaction from having her family compliment her as well as her friends. Plus, when the grandkids come along you know they will appreciate wonderful homemade cookies. Am I right here?? I think I am.

Why are the AP kids as close minded or more so then the non ones?

Rainy asked:

According to teachers, professors, doctors, lawyers etc. the AP kids are the creme of the crop. They’re supposed to be the most open minded, the most questioning, wrong. I am the only African american in my AP english class and the kids are not open minded! I thought I would fit in with them, since I’m kinda weird, like to read and write, and aren’t “cool” enough for the popular crowd, wrong! They basically ignore me, act like I don’t exist or ask stupid race questions while I’m right there in the room. One class, they were complaining about reverse racism, and how A.As have affirmitive action and that an A.A with a B average will get into an Ivy league college over a white person with an A average. Right in front of me, like I was dumber then them or something! First of all Harvard is not a predominetly black collge, it has less then 5% of A.As so don’t worry, there will be plenty of room for you! Second they don’t just hand it out to people, they’re the best of the best!

What is the typical course load (classes) in English Universities?

zaichev asked:

Like, translated into American terms?

Do kids take five classes, four, three?

I know that modules are different, but how many “3 credit American classes” would a typical English student take, even if it was translated into modules?
I MEAN IN ENGLAND

How do I get this guy to notice me?

Nerd with the Answers asked:

There’s a new kid in my English class, and I really like him. He’s really shy, but i’m very shy too. He sits on the other side of the class, and I’m NOT going over there to talk to him. How do I become friends with him? All the other girls like him too because his face is like beautiful. How do I “snatch” him before they do.

We’re considering homeschooling, can my daughter still play sports and take some classes at the high school?

mojo00 asked:

Hi there,
My oldest daughter is currently a freshman in high school. She’s doing very well being an honor student, however we feel that the curriculum at the high school is holding her back because all of the classes are heterogeneous, so she has kids in her English class that can barely read while she should be in honors (her high school is so small no honor classes are offered). She’s also struggling in algebra. Yes, she still has a B average, but it’s an uphill battle for her because of all the testing. She doesn’t take math tests well, no matter how hard she studies, event though she knows all of the material and how to do it, her tests scores have been terrible lately and keep bringing down her grade.
Sorry, what I took the long way of saying is that if we chose to home school my daughter (which she originally suggested) would she still be able to take a few elective courses at the high school (such as Drivers Ed and PE) and play sports there?
Thanks for any help.
